All by HIMSELF!

Yesterday 1/28/2001 Hudson sat up by himself! We've been working on this off and on for about a month. He's been doing pretty well. He's pretty "top heavy" and always leans forward. But yesterday was the longest he has sat up. And it was all by himself. My baby is getting too big TOO fast...

May God Bless & Keep You Always

What a wonderful weekend. Friday night Cody was on shift so Hudson & I spent some time playing together and watching movies. Saturday we woke up early and lounged around the house. I took him to Mia's so I could get some things done for Chrissie's baby shower. We hosted it at the Hilton in the Parlor room. it was a great turn out and Chrissie loved it. Waiting on baby Spencer to get here on February 24th!! Busy Busy. I also got a chance to catch up with the girls. I love getting to see them and catching up on their lives. With everyone's hectic schedule lately, we hardly get a chance to see each other.

The hostesses at the shower. Me, laural, Em, Erin, Chrissie, Shannon & Becca

This is what I came across walking into the living room on Friday before work.....

He has managed to push himself up and almost out of his sweetpeace swing! Scared me to death. I'll have to start strapping him in.

Sunday we went to church & invited Morgan. She really enjoyed it and is going to start going on a regular basis. I feel so accomplished when I know I had a small hand in leading someone closer to the Lord<><
After, we met Cody's mom at Red Lobster and stuffed ourselves silly. I love that place! From there on out we lounged around the house and watched the football game. I really was pulling for the Viking's because I wanted to see FAVRE go to the Superbowl...but the Saint's deserve the win.

My baby boy is almost 5 months!!!! Where does the time go???

Today also starts day 1 of packing for CALIFORNIA! I am trying to get all of our warm clothes and ski attire shipped to Dad before we leave so we have less to worry about. Can't wait to get away with my boys and enjoy the mountains & snow<3

=)

By the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labourned more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

How I love thee

My heart grows everyday for a certain handsome, giggly, precious baby boy! He is the most amazing miracle and I thank the good Lord every day for blessing Cody & I with such a sweet bundle of JOY!

My lil cowboy!

He's 4 months but has an attitude like a 15 year old. Cracks me up

Time with daddy. I love his rolls<3

Hudson seems to be getting over his little cough. Last night he did NOT want to sleep. I put him in every position imaginable, rocked him, sang to him, nothing worked. What a perfect quote I found this morning...
"Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible!" AMEN
(2 cups of coffee help too)
Busy weekend ahead. Birthdays, baby showers, church, family & friends!

We booked our CALI trip and boy am I nervous. I have never traveled with a baby before. A 4 hour plane ride with a 5 month old. eeeeek
and a 3 hour ride to Mammoth to snowboard. Lord give me strength. We head out Feb.9 - Feb 14. Thank goodness Monday is a holiday, we'll have a day to rest.

Any mommies have tips for traveling shoot 'em my way.

xoxo have a blessed weekend

YOWZA

So this past weekend Cody & I joined some friends at the Kermit Sand hills for a little 4 wheeling action. Troy bought a new Polaris Razor and for some odd reason let me drive it. I had so much fuuun. We met up with about 10 other guys, some from BSFD that ride all the time. We left Midland around 10:00 and when we got to Kermit it was freeeeezing!! There was still snow on the dunes from the previous day. It was gorgeous though. I drove around a little while the guys changed their tires to get the hang of the razor. Thank goodness that thing has seat belts. I really didn't mean to get all crazy, but the boys were jumping jumps and I decided I could....and boy did I. I watched Hale's video that he took and I got some sweet air and almost bought a very expensive toy and ate some Kermit sand. I think I peed my pants a little after that jump ;-)
Anywho, after a long day at the dunes we headed to Andrews for world famous Buddy's steakfingers..yum-o.

Hudson got his 4 month shots last Wednesday and he do so great. He got a little fussy after the last shot but I held him for a bit and put him in his carseat and he fell fast asleep. He such a big boy.
-He weighs 17lbs 2oz
-His height is 26 1/4
-His head is measuring 17 1/4
Dr. Reese said we could start him on solids, veggies first. He loves it all. Thank goodness we don't have a picky eater.
I think he may be getting a little cold. He's coughing every now and then and sounds a little congested..ughhh. Calling the pedi today, hopefully it's nothing =)

He loves green beans!

Handsomeness

Cody had a busy night on shift Sunday. He had a pretty bad fire that started in the kitchen and caught the porch on fire. The dryer had caught on fire.

After putting the fire out. Thanks for the pic Birdie (don't mind the date)

Pirates, Applesauce and a 4 month old

What a wonderful way to bring in the New Year! (Even though I am by far NOT a Tech fan) We got word that a friend of ours had extra Alamo Bowl tickets. Cody being the Red Raider fan that he is jumped at the opportunity to buy the tickets! We booked a hotel and asked another couple to join us! We had a low key New Year's Eve and were in bed by 10:30..so relaxing. We left early that Friday morning and headed to San Antonio, which is easily becoming a favorite vacation spot of mine. Friday we hit up the River Walk and went to a bar called Howl At The Moon! SUPER FUN. They had dueling piano players and we won a private party for 100. I have never seen so much black white and red in my life. The game was actually pretty fun. We had good seats and it was great to see Cody so happy. This was his first Tech game and it happened to be a bowl game.

We were on the upper level right on the 30 yard line

The Alamo

Baby boy has started easting some solid foods. He loves bananas and applesauce!!

Applesauce

My precious baby boy turned 4 months on New Years Eve
I can't believe it...

We have our 4 month shots tomorrow and I am NOT looking forward to it. But as well as he did with his 2 month shots, I'm hoping for the best.

At 4 months:
*Hudson is holding his own bottle for about 15 seconds
*Rolling over
*Eating solid foods
*Has two teeth
*Sleeping through the night
*Almost sitting up by himself <3
