It's the most wonderful time of the year!

What a week! Thanksgiving was so much fun and oh so fulfilling. Literally!! Hudson & I visited Cody on shift. His mom had ordered the station turkey, dressing, ham, the works from HEB! One of Cody's buddies at the station has a 4 month old little girl, McKenzie, she is a doll. We introduced her to Hudson and they were so cute. They stared at each other for a good 10 min. I love showing him different babies. He seems to have so much going on in his mind when he meets new people. We watched a few movies then packed up and headed to Gram's for dinner. Nothing like a home cooked Thanksgiving. Don't get me wrong, the HEB food was delish but didn't come close to Gram's homemade mashed taters or mom's deviled eggs!! YUMM

Mr. Hudson Rhyder slept through the night Saturday!! I'm sure it was because we dragged him all over town to take pictures and he had very little sleep that day. He took a 6oz. bottle and fell asleep quickly around 9:45. He didn't wake up until 6:30 the next morning. And suprisingly fell asleep for another hour and a half after his bottle at 7:00!

We met up with an oh so dear high school friend Megan Dozier (now Singleton) to take some family pictures on Saturday. She's amazing!!! We went to locations that I never would have imagined. I can't wait to see what she does with them!!! Here's one that Cody's mom took from her camera...

Much more to come when Meg gets done editing!

Christmas decorations are up and I am ready to celebrate the holidays with my wonderful family.
I heard the very first Christmas song on the radio today and I sang my little heart out!

Giving Thanks...

Another great weekend!! Cody has been off for about 10 days. His birthday was Friday and we celebrated at H()()ters with fried pickles and great friends. Saturday we BBQ'ed and watched football. We had some amazing smoked chicken and ribs. Thanks Cody D!!

Sunday went to church ( Cody's first time at Stonegate) & what a great message Patrick gave! After service Cody went golfing with some buddies and I put up our Christmas tree. I love this time of year. Hudson has his very first tree this year. Although he only seems interested in it when the lights are on ;-)

Ready for a two day work week and Thanksgiving!
I am so very thankful for my family. My loving husband and my precious baby boy. Cousins, Aunts, Uncles & In-Laws! Knowing Jesus, My Savior. My mother, my best friend. Gram, my strength. My girlfriends, near & far. My father, my hero. My job, we will find a cure!! Having a roof over my head, food in my belly, and my health.

Burrrrr

It all happened yesterday!!! Hudson rolled from his tummy to his back and found his thumb! Gram had put him on his play mat, tummy down, walked in the kitchen and came back to find him on his back. (So we all missed it but it happened.) When I went to pick him up yesterday after work he was going to town on his thumb!! Mia got the cutest pictures. When we got home we practiced the whole rolling from tummy to back but it never happend =(

So glad Cody is finally home. He picked up two days of overtime at the station and he'll be off for the next 10 days. So thankful for that. His birthday is Friday so Hudson and I have to come up with something clever. He found a new bow so I am giving him money to buy it. Cody, Morgan, Phiffer and Murray all have birthdays in November so we are all going out to dinner on the 24th & Morgan rented the parlor room at the Hilton! Oh the memories of the parlor room. Daddio rented it for our wedding and I had it for my 25th birthday. GOOD TIMES!!

Cody & I have date night tonight. I cherish the time we have alone together. He is an amazing man and a wonderful father. We are going to attempt P90X tonight, (we'll see how that goes.) Hopefully putting up the Christmas tree this week also. I can't wait to see Hudson's reaction to all the decorations and lights. I want his first Thanksgiving & Christmas to be so wonderful!!! xoxo

Burrr! cold weather calls for Hippo hats!

What a weekend!!

Friday night was girls night. We had fajitas, wine and games at Emily's parents house in her dad's massive garage. He's a huge car buff and built an insane garage so it's a perfect place for a little get together. It's so great seeing all my friends and getting to catch up. It seems that no matter how long we all go without seeing each other, we always start we where ended!

Saturday was a fun filled day! Cody was on shift so Hudson and I cuddled on the couch for most of the morning. He is such a loving baby. I dropped him off at Gram's so I could run a few errands. I had Lacey's "suprise" housewarming party so I packed up lil man and went to that! Hudson was passed around like a hot potatoe! Everyone wanted a piece of him. He behaved so well, even in a house full of women. ;-)

Sunday picked up mom for church and met the girls. Another amazing service. This one truley spoke to my heart and made me realize God is not done with me, he has many plans and my heart is open to whatever they may be. I believe he is working in so many ways in my life right now. So powerful!!! Picked up Hudson from the nursery and he was on the play mat just kicking his feet smiling at the toys above him. The lady said he had been like that all morning, just as happy as can be! Makes my heart flutter. We had Gyna Mae's birthday party to go to at the jumper place. Oh my, so many children. I guess that's we have to look faward to! After that, Hudson & I headed to Big Spring to see daddy at the fire station and eat some pizza. Cody picked up over time and we were long overdue for a visit to see him. Benji, another firefighter has a son 8 days younger than Hudson so his wife Kendra brough Lucas up to the station! We put them both on the recliner in front of the tv just like Cody & Benji do when they are on shift. They both look exactly like their daddy's! Too cute.

Revolution

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY! Bless all those that serve & have served our wonderful country. God bless America!

I've been listening to Miranda Lambert's new cd, Revolution all morning. She is probably my all time favorite country artist. I've seen her in concert once when she opened for Kenny Chesney & that just made me love her even more. The lyrics on this album are so powerful!!! Just one of those cd's that puts you in a great mood ya know?

This is one of my favorite songs: LOVE SONG

"I was standing there cryin’ in the kitchen

It’s been one of those mornings that’s gonna last all day
And he comes in, wraps his arms around me
And I don’t even have to say a thing

That’s what makes it love
That’s what makes it a love song"

Hudson only woke up once last night!! Put him to bed around 10:00. He didn't wake up untill 3:00. Such a sweet boy. I love him more & more each day.
Cody watched him yesterday after I got off work. It was my first time back in the gym in almost 11 months & it felt so great to work out. Emily, Ash & I did Zumba...oh how I've missed that class!! I came home to a wonderful home cooked meal. Cody made chicken parmesan..YUM!! A wonderful night to spend with my boys.

Weekend Update

Update on Hudson :

As of 11/6/09

Weighs 14.2 lbs (75%)
Height  23 1/2 (80%)
Head 16''4 (80%)

Dr. Reese suggested we start him on cereal and try for 8 oz at every feeding! Growing baby boy.
He didn't cry until the very last shot and didn't run a fever afterward. We attempted 8 oz last night but he fell asleep after 4 oz but slept for a good 4 1/2 hrs at a time. He has a habit of always scratching his face. We can't ever keep his fingers away from his face and he's so rough. Poor baby has scratches all over the place. Operation Mittens is in full force!!!

Cody, Murray, Casey & I all headed to Brownwood for the weekend to Murray's ranch house. AMAZING! His parents are always so welcoming. (Cody & I got engaged at their lake house in Brownwood in '06) The ranch house is beautiful. It was so good to get away in the middle of nowhere. Although we were roughing it by NO means. Casey and I sat in the deer blind a few yards away from the tree stand Cody was in. We must have seen about 13 doe walk in but Cody didn't have a clear shot on any of them. We had the most delicious meals, I swear I gained about 15 lbs while I was there. It's always great to get away but my reward is coming home and seeing my smiley handsome baby boy!!!

Ick..

Food poisoning is dreadful. ICK. Monday night I started feeling pretty queezy and yucky. I finally called mom over around 8:30 to come watch Hudson, while I, um..prayed to the porcelain gods =(
Cody was on shift in Big Spring and asked if I needed him to come home. I toughed it out for as long as I could then called and asked him to come home! He showed up around midnight, hooked me up to an iv and gave me some nausea medicine. THANK GOODNESS FOR HAVING AN EMT/MEDIC HUBBY!!
I slept pretty much all day Tuesday and started to feel a little better. Back at work today still feeling a little under the weather but not near as bad as Monday night.

                                                                 Here's my lil Aggie!

Hudson has his two month shots Friday & mommy is nervous! Cody & I are also leaving for Brownwood Friday to go to a friends ranch to hunt.

Halloween Weekend

What a weekend. It started Friday at Murray's house with his costume party. (You can check out the pictures on my facebook) Funny stuff. There were some great costumes!! Cody & I dressed as Swine Flu and Dr. Swine (the vaccine) Mia watched Hudson for us Friday night. (Thank goodness for wonderful baby sitters)

Saturday we picked up lil munchkin and just hung out and watched football. We had dinner at Outback and went to the drive in movie. Law Abiding Citizen, WOW. Great movie, but WOW! Hudson was so good through the whole thing. You never would have guessed we had a baby in the car. He turned 2 months on Halloween. It's crazy how time flies. He's begining to grow thicker eye lashes & eye brows, he focuses better on objects and he's becoming more verbal! It's the sweetest thing. Sunday Cody picked up some overtime atthe station and Hudson and I met Mia at church. This was his second Sunday in the "six flags over Jesus" as Patrick would say. Also known as Wee Gems. He did so great! We lounged the rest of the afternoon and decided to go to the evening service to watch baptism. AMAZING. I teared up through the whole thing. It's so powerful when people young and old accept Christ as their Savior!!!!

"Who is Jesus Christ? Many people will acknowledge Jesus Christ as a good man, a great teacher, or even a prophet of God. These things are definitely true of Jesus, but they do not fully define who He truly is. The Bible tells us that Jesus is God in the flesh, God in human form (see John 1:1, 14). God came to earth to teach us, heal us, correct us, forgive us—and die for us! Jesus Christ is God, the Creator, the sovereign Lord."

Here's a picture of lil man in his swing that I sent to Cody while he was at the station Sunday.
