Hello Fall!!!

Although our weather has still been in the upper 70's the leaves are changing and falling, the mornings have become cool and crisp and the time has changed. (which I am not liking very much at the moment) Hudson's internal clock is right on track and he's waking up around 7:00 every morning. But I can't complain too much because he's still getting around 12 hours of sleep and I'm up early to watch cartoons, snuggle him and get some things done around the house. He will be 15 months on the 31st!!!!!! Such a handsome smart lil boogie. We are blessed more and more every day. He's learning ever so quickly and growing like a weed. He's in 2T clothing and nothing smaller! Size 5 diapers, trying and LOVING every food we give him. Lil Ham!

I have planned a surprise trip for Cody for his birthday on the 20th. Probably one of the best birthday's I've planned and I haven't spilled the beans yet. Only thing he knows is we will be traveling to Dallas that weekend. Stay tuned for details!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas is right around the corner, Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! I am still debating if I want to volunteer to cook and have everyone over to our house. EEEK. Of course I would have help from everyone on the cooking part, because we all know, I am NO Betty Crocker.

Our new Christmas tradition will be taking Hudson individually and having him pick out an ornament for Daddy and one for Mommy. And on Christmas Eve we will exchange =)
Cody and I are also working on a huge personalized toy chest for Huddy! It's going to be so great, I can't wait to put it all together. He has so many toys and nick nacks, it'll be nice to have them all together and not strung all over the house.

Fall Fun

October 27th....already??? Seriously, these months keep flying by faster and faster. Our Midland Step Out Walk is over and what a success! We are still short of our goal but expect to reach it by the end of the year. What a great turn out. Over 400 people! As stressful as walk time can be it all pays off in the end. This year we were blessed with many new faces, and of course the people who always return to make the walk such a success. We had a great new addition this year, Dr. Stephen Ponder. He's the new endocronologist at MCH Diabetes Center. He's come all the way from Corpus Christi to call Midland/Odessa home!

Such a powerful group!!! Karah was smiling down on each and everyone of you!!

Hudson will be 14 months on Halloween!!!
He is such a little ham. He still amazes me everyday with the things he is learning.
We took him to the Airsho and he loved every minute of it.

Halloween is right around the corner and my favorite time of year. I am so very excited to take Hud around to the trunk or treats and friends houses this year. His costume came in the other day and we tried it on and I laughed for a good solid 5 min. He's going to look adorable.

We have such a busy EXCITING weekend. Cody, our friends Cody Davidson and his wife Sarah and I have world series tickets to see the Ranger's kick some SF Giant booty in Arlington!!!!!!! Quick trip starting Saturday morning and coming home Sunday. Cody is a huge Ranger's fan and has always been since I have know him. I have to admit, baseball is not my most favorite sport and I've just recently gotten in to it. Especially after my first experience at Ranger Stadium (an early b-day present from Cody) Anywho...the game I went to was awesome. Ranger's were trailing the whole game until the 9th and a super fantastic play was made for them to take the lead. The play actually got our group on TV! Our local news, ESPN and Sports Center. We had great seats. So needless to say I was hooked after that. ANTLERS UP!!!

Everyone have a safe and fun Halloween!!!!!

Pirate Party!

Hudson had his pirate party Saturday September 4th. What a great turn out we had. Our family is so very blessed with great friends and family. My mother, Gram and Cody's mom helped out so much. Not to mention, Hudson's God-mother Kristen Nicole ;-) So glad she came in town to celebrate with us.
My mom insisted making the cake and what a great job she did!

September 8th Cody and I celebrated our 3 <3year anniversary. The greatest 3 years ever imaginable. He's so wonderful and our relationship has grown so much. We had a great relaxing night. Dinner at Logan's and came home to our sweet baby boy, lounged and watched tv. I got 2 anniversary bands for my wedding ring!!

Septmember is such a busy month at work. We have our Odessa Step Out Walk September 18 and have been running around like crazy. We have a little down time before our Midland Walk and then it's GO TIME! I'll be glad when it's all over and I can relax.

I've been thinking about signing Cody & I up for Warrior Dash in ATX Nov. 20 for his birthday. Not sure if we'd be ready for that though. He's never been to 6th street, so I may have to convince him there is free beer at WD after you complete it!!!!!!!!
Slow down crazy busy hectic life!!!!!

ONE!!!

Tomorrow is the day. Hudson Rhyder Quintana will be a year old. And mommy will be an emotional wreck. (In a good way, if that's possible.) This time last year Cody and I were as best prepared to bring a baby into this world as we could be. We had a nice dinner at Outback last year, double checked our hospital bags and tried to get as much rest as possible. (No such luck) At 5:00am we arrived at the hospital ready to meet our son. 12, long, very long, some stressful, some peaceful hours later we were told I was at a 10 and it was time!!! And at that very moment I knew that my child was going to be stubborn. Pushing was endless and it felt like I couldn't push any longer and was out of energy. Dr. Doke told me his head was in a weird position and was unable to get a good grasp on him. C-section it was. I was terrified. Thankfully my family and husband were there to calm my nerves (and some very awesome drugs.) At 9:35 pm August 31, 2009 we had a bouncing, handsome, sweet angel baby boy!!!!!!

This past year has been so very amazing....can't wait for many more.

Saturday is the BIG party!! Pictures to follow =)

It's the little things..

Hudson & I have been up since 5:00 am this morning and after ONE cup of coffee, a bowl of honey nut cheerios and two chess men cookies, hearing "Word of God Speak" on air1, and having my husband tell me when I got in his truck that I "looked so beautiful this morning" this is one of the best days that I will remember forever! I guess little man just wanted to play at such an early hour this morning. After about an hour of having his toys strung all over the house and dancing around like a maniac, he wore himself out and let me cuddle him (which is rare because he refuses to sit still unless he's exhausted or sick) He then fell asleep on my chest for about 45 min. It brought back so many memories of him being a newborn and after his morning feedings we would both fall back asleep on the couch.

ONE WEEK from today my angel baby will be ONE year old!! (I am such a mom, I held back tears just typing that. Ughhh)
What a blessed day it has been. Even through the chaos and craziness of our lives, I love finding the time to enjoy the simple things and take in all of God's glory! God is good all the time<3

A little bit of baby humor :-}

Birthday countdown has begun

20 days and my little tiny newborn handsome baby will be ONE YEAR OLD. The most amazing year that I have experienced. Cody and I have shared so many magical moments being a mother & father and our relationship has become even stronger and greater over the past year. Hudson is a true miracle and such a blessing, he amazes me every day!!!

HRQ one day old.

Play date with Cameron. 8-6-10
He's 11 months and Cam is 6 months

He is officially walking all over the place!! He's learned to make a fist and knock on doors and windows to get someones attention. Waves byebye backwards ;-)
Gives kisses and rests his head on your shoulder when he wants a hug. Loves babies and is so curious about them. Enjoys playdates of all kinds. Facinated with puppies/dogs. He is on the never ending list at Midland College Daycare and we hope to get a spot with in the next few years =)
Climbing on everything and being such a BOY!

Whirlwind...

Wow. Time is flying and I continue to count my blessings every day.
We had our family reuinion July 17-18 in Dunn TX. Right outside of Snyder TX. Gram's side of the family is so wonderful. I haven't seen some of them in at least 10 years and I was introduced to some. It was a joy to take Hudson and have him meet everyone. He had a blast and was center of attention the whole weekend. Cody was unable to make it because he was covering for someone on another shift. Mom Gram Hud and I headed out early Saturday morning and met up with everyone and had a great time catching up.

Sunday was a day to hit my knees and thank the good Lord for another day, my sweet precious family, another day that I was lucky enought to be alive!! I had received news that a friend of mine was involved in a horrible boat accident. I call her a friend even though we had only met once a few years ago but never have really had the chance to hang out. She was always so sweet and we had kept in touch through facebook and I occasionally saw her and her sweet family at church. She was very involved with our Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes. She said our prayer last year. We had a split second to chat about our babies while she was registering that morning. She had brought Madden and he was bundled up in his stroller ready to stroll with his family and find a cure for diabetes. I remember hearing her voice, as everyone bowed their head and she prayed over everyone. Praying that we one day find a cure. I saw her after the walk leaving with her sweet baby boy and she waved goodbye. I saw her a few times at church and we exchanged smiles, never knowing that one day God would call her up to Heaven so soon. I know the lake she was on very well. I know that part of it its very dangerous even during the day with all the rocks it's hard to steer clear of them. My heart aches for all of those involved. What a trajic accident. All four were injured and Karah left behind so many loved ones. Every day I think about her and her family that she left behind and how her husband has to raise their baby without his mother, how a father and mother lost a daughter, friends lost a great friendship, but then I realize that God had a greater plan for her and Heaven needed another angel. I continue to pray for her family and friends and her son, that he grow up and know how very speacial his mother was.
Prayers for the Northcutt's/Brooks. <><
